Masterful Mindsets ~ Practical Guide to Personal Freedom
“You can only be you when you do your best. When you don’t do your best you are denying yourself the right to be you. That’s a seed that you should really nurture in your mind. You don’t need knowledge or great philosophical concepts. You don’t need the acceptance of others. You express your own divinity by being alive and by loving yourself and others.” ~ Don Miguel Ruiz
Have you ever wished you had a practical guide that could tell you how to live a life of personal freedom in just a few simple steps? Would you commit to following it if you knew it could be that simple? Good news! It can be…
There’s a reason Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements, spent over 10 years on the New York Times Bestseller List and sold nearly 7 million copies… It’s an inspiring book with a phenomenal message that offers a practical guide to creating personal freedom. Who wouldn’t want that kind of transformative information that could literally give them the freedom and power to become whomever they wanted to be, by putting those simple practices into place?
So, unless of course, you’re someone who enjoys being stuck and miserable, which I highly doubt you are, then I want to invite you to join me now in renewing your commitment to being your best self.
Whether you’ve read the book or not, if you know you want to live a life free of the old limiting beliefs that have kept you trapped, then by all means… read on to learn more.
It’s been years since I read The Four Agreements, and yet lately it’s as if it’s been calling to me from my bookshelf. Perhaps it’s because almost every day I can watch the news or open up my social media feeds and read post after post of people who seem trapped by their own limiting beliefs and self-destructive behaviors. No doubt you’ve encountered those people too. You know the ones, they either prefer being a victim of their own lives or they just don’t know how to get out of their own way long enough to see what they could be if they’d just make some meaningful changes.
Heck, maybe you’ve even caught yourself in that mode. It’s okay, it happens. We’ve all been guilty of it at times. Isn’t that why you decided to keep reading? But you see, it’s that choice – the choice to keep reading – that sets you apart from those I just mentioned. Because you want to make a change and you’ve made a commitment (AKA an Agreement) to being your best self. So to that, I say, “Congratulations!”
I am excited that you’ll be joining me as I revisit The Four Agreements. It is my hope that it will inspire you to check in with your own personal practices and realign them with these simple fundamental truths to master your life:
- Be Impeccable with Your Word
- Don’t Take Anything Personally
- Don’t Make Assumptions
- Always Do Your Best
Write these four agreements down on a notecard and put them somewhere highly visible so you can read them daily. Then begin to notice when you are doing just the opposite! (Yes, meaning you aren’t following them.) There will be more to follow on this in my next post.
Also, if you have the book already, and want a refresher… then dust it off and crack open that cover this week. If you don’t have it or have never read it, it’s okay. It’s certainly not a required read but could be very beneficial as you go through this process with me. You can Click HERE to get it.
