How often do you take time to just rest? How often do you make time for yourself? How often do you nurture yourself and give yourself permission to have down time? When was the last time you simply took a nap?

Need a Nap? Let Yourself Rest – It’s as simple as that…
Yet we are always pushing and striving without giving ourselves time to rest. But what we don’t realize is that if we’d take time to rest and renew, we’d be more productive and better able to serve the world or at least show up fully for those we love.
And I get it, I know you’re busy. We all get busy and think we don’t have time to rest, but that simply isn’t true. (I picked this topic today because I needed the reminder too!) You must make time to rest. Making time for self-care is not only important, it’s essential.
My challenge to you… Let yourself rest!
Do something simple like meditate, go for a walk or yes, even take a nap. Or really nurture yourself by going on a retreat with friends or planning a get away with your significant other. Taking time to rest is essential to your well-being. Don’t wait until you are so run down that your body and mind demand you rest. Instead, start nurturing yourself along the way and you’ll be surprised at how much more energy and focus you will actually have to accomplish those things that really matter.
