Masterful Mindsets ~ Special Anniversary Edition (Qualities of a Good Relationship)
“This day I will marry my Friend. The one I laugh with, live for, dream with, Love.”
Question:
Are you surrounding yourself with people and relationships that make you laugh, that encourage you to dream, that you love and that love you unconditionally in return? Do you have support of someone in your life that is always there for you and someone you love to be around?
Action Challenge:
This is a very special edition of Masterful Mindsets because tomorrow will be my husband and I’s 25th wedding anniversary! Hence why I shared the “theme” of our wedding instead of the usual quote. (Watch the video to see a relic from that day.) But the truth is, my husband really is my best friend. And I wouldn’t want to be going through life with anyone else.
This little saying does exemplify some great qualities of any relationship (significant other or otherwise). It is important to have someone in your life that makes you laugh, supports you in everything you do and encourages you to dream. Someone who is there for you when you’re feeling down and need a shoulder to cry on. And someone who gives you that little kick in the ass that you need to remind you that you got this – so go for it. I’m very blessed because not only do I have great friends who bring these qualities into our relationship, but my husband and I have all that and more. Having someone to laugh with, live for, dream with and love… really is special.
My challenge to you this week is to examine the relationships you have in your life and make sure you have people in your life that make you laugh, that support and encourage you to be your best, that let you cry on their shoulder when you need to cry and give you a nudge when you need one to get out there and pursue your dreams. Find people you enjoy spending time with and then be sure you spend time with them. Whether it’s your significant other or other friends – these qualities are important in any relationship. So be sure you are surrounding yourself with people who bring all those things into your life. Plus, make sure you are doing the same for someone else and always nurture the relationships that are important to you.
